More success for Team Hard

Detling based Team Hard Racing had another successful weekend at the latest round of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at their home circuit of Brands Hatch last weekend.

Bobby Thompson once again led the way for the team with second overall and an Independent class win in the final race of the weekend, having finished sixth in race and eleventh in race two.

Dan Lloyd was able to score a top ten in race one finishing in 10th place, he followed that up with a P14 finish in race two and he was just outside of the top ten in 11th place in race three, bringing home another solid points haul in just his second race weekend with the team.

Dexter Patterson and Jade Edwards continued to make progress with the team in race one they finished P17 and P20 respectively, in race two they followed that up with P17 and P22, and in the final race of the weekend Patterson managed to bag the last point with a 15th place finish, but unfortunately Edwards did not finish the race.

Nicholas Hamilton and Jack Butel also made progress with P21 and P18 finishes in race one respectively, and they then followed that up in race two with P25 and P24 place finishes. Whilst the last race of the weekend saw them finish P19 and P17.

Speaking after the weekend, a delighted Thompson said: “Honestly, I’m so happy with this weekend, not only for the results but also to show what the Cupra can do. We have the car in a great window at the moment and we are finally able to show everyone what we have been working on and developing over the past couple of seasons.

“I’m hoping we can keep the car in this form for the rest of the season and consistently compete inside the top ten race after race and pick up some podiums along the way. The team deserve it for all of their hard work and dedication to the operation so far this season, to mix it with the manufacturer teams like we did was a real statement.

“It was great to do it at Brands Hatch as well as it’s both mine and the team’s home race. We had lots of partners, family and friends with us over the course of the weekend and for all of them to join us in our most competitive weekend to date was amazing.

“Thank you to everyone for their support, and long may this form continue.”
