More injury woe for Addicks
More injury woe for Addicks

Lewis Page had to be substituted after 43 minutes in an Under-23 game at Colchester on Thursday.

It was the latest set back for the 23-year-old left-back in his injury ravaged career at The Valley. This time it is a foot problem.

Page’s last first team appearance was in early October last year. After such a long absence, further injury niggles are always likely. Even before the latest setback, he was weeks away from being ready for a first team return.

Page was signed from West Ham in January 2017, and in just under three years with the Addicks, he has only made 27 appearances. His contract expires at the end of the season.

However, there was better‎ news of two former Charlton players on Sunday.
Goalkeeper, Nick Pope, made his competitive debut for England in the 4-0 win over Kosover. The appearance would trigger payment of any money due if an international appearance clause‎ was inserted in the contract when he moved to Burnley.

‎All time Women’s team top scorer, Kit Graham, had a fine game for Tottenham despite their 2-0 loss to reigning champions Arsenal.

The game was televised‎ live, and played in front of a record crowd. 38,262 fans were inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
