MK Dons vs Bromley – Preview

Top of the table Bromley head up to Buckinghamshire to face second placed Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday lunchtime, knowing that a win will almost guarantee Andy Woodman’s side promotion from League Two.

The Ravens go into the game having beaten Shrewsbury Town 2-1 on Tuesday night, thanks to goals from Marcus Ifill and Kyle Cameron. The victory took Bromley on to 83 points with four games remaining, nine points clear of Cambridge Utd in fourth, who have one game in hand.

Despite not having won for four games, MK Dons are currently still second in League Two, with 76 points from 42 matches. On Easter Monday Paul Warne’s side drew 1-1 away at Oldham Athletic, Marvin Ekpiteta putting The Dons in front in the first half before The Latics equalised late in the second period.

When the teams met at Hayes Lane in October, Bromley won 2-1 with goals from Deji Elerewe and Omar Sowunmi after Rushian Hepburn had put MK in front early on and this game looks set to be equally as close.

The Ravens are still without injured top scorer Michael Cheek and defender Jesse Debrah, while midfielder Ben Thompson and right wingback Lakyle Samuel have both been missing for some time.

The stakes couldn’t be higher in football terms, with automatic promotion to League One as the ultimate prize for both sides at the end of the season.

Kick Off is at 12:30pm and is live on Sky Sports Plus.
