MK Dons v Charlton Athletic Preview

Charlton head to Stadium MK tonight looking to extend their lead in League One to six points.

Dawn broke to reveal the first misty morning of autumn across central England today.

The 700 plus Charlton fans making their way to Milton Keynes tonight will be hoping their team maintain their excellent away form. Another win would send the Addicks six points clear at the top, whereas a win for the hosts would propel them from ninth to second.

Karl Robinson, ably assisted by wily old fox John Gorman, has managed to get his team to consistently over achieve but the magnificent stadium:mk as been a happy hunting ground for the Addicks. The 2-0 reverse in March followed an earlier win in the JPT and a league victory the previous season at the venue.

Thus far, Chris Powell has started with a standard 4-4-2 formation and let the opposition worry about his side rather than adjust the shape to combat his opponents. The policy has served him well and, barring injuries, he will field an unchanged team tonight, so the Addicks should look something like this:

Hamer; Solly, Taylor, Morrison, Wiggins; Wagstaff, Stephens, Hollands, Jackson; Hayes, Wright-Phillips.

Subs: Sullivan, Cort, Hughes, Euell, Kermorgant.

The referee will be Roger East from Wiltshire.

Confidence is sky high at the moment and Powell will expect to take all three points.
