VUE Thanet has announced that it will be sponsoring Margate FC’s half-time penalty shoot-out competition.
Vue Thanet recently agreed to sponsor the half-time penalty shootout at Margate FC, for every remaining home game of the football season. They’ve offered the grand prize of two free tickets to the winner of each competition – and with the competition fully subscribed by children at each home game, Vue are hoping to put a smile on many faces.
Margate FC centre back, George Essuman, congratulated last Saturday’s winner from Garlinge Primary School, who has taken the crown for the sponsored competition’s first instalment at The Gate’s game, versus Potters Bar – holding her nerve in front of the Hartsdown faithful, she even earnt the praise of General Manager Deny Wilson, as well as fans and players alike.
Margate FC’s/Vue’s penalty shoot-out competition provides a fantastic opportunity for Margate FC fans to experience taking a penalty in front of the home crowd and will take place at every home game for the remainder of the season at Hartsdown Park.

Those who want to test their nerves in front of Hartsdown Park’s most loyal still can get involved at every home game. The competition will be open to Under 16s who can sign up for free at the Club’s shop within the stadium before kick-off.
