Fresh off the back of their first signing for the 2018/19 season at the weekend, Margate FC have announced that Steve Brown and Mike Sandmann will take charge of the first team on a permanent basis. 

The duo had been taking charge of affairs since Steve Watt departed last week, but the club have today confirmed that they will stick with the duo that were already part of the existing coaching set-up.

They will be joined in the dugout for the coming season by current Under 23’s assistant manager Timmy Warden who will take up the role of fitness coach for the first team.

It shows a clear commitment from the club to stick with coaches who have worked with the club and understand the club and giving them a chance to take the club forward.

They have seen a number of key players commit to the team for the 2018/19 season, as well as being instrumental in the signing of Alex Brown from Dartford, it shows that the Board at Margate have faith in Brown and Sandmann to build on the stabilisation that happened during the 2017/18 season.
