Managerial changes at Hollands and Blair

This week has seen managerial changes at Southern Counties East Football League Premier side Hollands and Blair.

Manager Clint Gooding has decided to step down from his role as manager having taken over the reigns in November 2017, with the team battling relegation. Just 24 games later and he has decided to leave his role having kept the side in the SCEFL Premier for the 2018/19 season.

Speaking on Twitter, Clint said: “I would like to thank the players, committee and supporters of Hollands and Blair FC. I’m grateful for the opportunity to manage such a special club. I wish the club every success in the future.”

The club wasted little time in appointing his successor following the announcement, with naming Darren Blackburn as his replacement with immediate effect. Darren was the Reserve team manager at Hollands and Blair, meaning that it is a promotion from within for the Gillingham based club.

Blackburn is no stranger to Hollands and Blair as he has played for the team during his career, and he will look to bring the work he has done with the reserve side to the first team and shape his squad over the coming weeks for the 2018/19 season.
