Man Utd prospect to join Addicks?

19-year-old Manchester United midfielder, Dylan Levitt, is close to joining the Addicks on loan.

Levitt made his senior debut for Wales recently, and has played a Europa League game for United. Lee Bowyer will be hoping he has the same impact as Conor Gallagher did last season.

Bowyer ‎has a growing reputation for developing young players, and top clubs are happy to let their youngsters come to The Valley.

Charlie Barker is the latest home grown talent to emerge. The 17-year-old central defender impressed in both games last week, and even managed to get his name on the score sheet at Swindon:

“I didn’t see it coming, the ball just arrived and I just put it in the net. I saw Chuks go to the back post so I just thought ‘I’ll go there just in case it goes there’ and it just arrived,” said Barker.

“The keeper dived and I put it back across him. I didn’t even believe it at first, but it happened. It’s a good thing it arrived at my head, because if it was my feet it could have gone anywhere!” Barker described last week’s events as “surreal”

“The last week has been a bit of a surreal experience, I played the first game and the gaffer trusted me enough to keep me in the team.

“I was happy with my performance again and the gaffer seemed happy. When I was told I was starting, I knew that he could trust me and I’m happy with that.”

His transition into a first team contender is a real bonus for Bowyer, and he has a realistic chance of starting at Crewe on Saturday.

Next week’s Carabao Cup game against West Ham will be played at the London Stadium on Tuesday with a 7.30pm kick-off.

Plenty of rumours flying around about the ownership situation but it seems there could soon be good news for the long suffering fans.
