Lillis makes Dynamos return

Utility man Harrison Lillis returns to the Invicta Dynamos for 2015/16 as the skater agreed to extend an association with the club that dates back to his junior years.

Having risen through the ranks at the Silver Blades Gillingham, Lillis made his senior debut for the Invicta Mustangs in the NIHL South Division 2 as a talented 16 year old back in 2009/10.

Now, some five years on, the skater returns for a fifth consecutive campaign icing for the Dynamos in the competition’s top tier at the age of 21. He enters 2015/16 having already worn a Mos jersey 150 times and 56 of those appearances came in 2014/15 with Lillis near ever present in a busy campaign.

Having returned from a half season stint with the Streatham Redskins for the beginning of last season, Harrison Lillis managed two goals and five assists back in Kent as he played across a number of lines and plugged gaps both in attack and defence.

His highpoint of the campaign was undoubtedly his rasping one-timer beyond Euan King from the blue line during a 6-2 home victory against the Chelmsford Chieftains in December and now he will be hoping for more highlight reel moments as he returns to the ice in September still wearing the colours of the Invicta Dynamos.

Speaking on the return of Harrison Lillis, Head Coach Kevin Parrish said, “Harrison’s attitude was spot on last year and he has matured into a real team player. He’s a local lad, loves to wear the shirt and will do whatever it takes to help the Dynamos get points on the board.”

“Harrison contributed with a couple of key goals last term, dropped the gloves when needed and even battled on in the playoffs despite suffering a broken nose and that’s exactly the drive and determination every coach wants in the changing room.”

“His challenge in 2015/16 is to push on once again but I’ve no doubt with his attitude and desire to learn this is his year to stand up and be counted”.

Harrison Lillis is the fifth player announced by the Dynamos this summer and joins Mark McGill, Adam McNicoll, Jacob Ranson and Nicky Lewis on the roster for the new campaign with another new teammate set to be announced on Friday.
