Alex Yee Ladywell hosts a Southern Counties East Football League Division One match for the first time this season tonight when Lewisham Borough entertain Bridon Ropes in a local derby.

Both teams come into the game seeking points following respective slow starts to the season. Lewisham have lost all three of their league games so far while their visitors have collected two points from a possible nine.
On Saturday, Borough progressed in the FA Vase by winning at Mile End on penalties after drawing nil-nil. In the league, all three of their matches have also been on the road, losing three-one at Greenways, four-two at Halls AFC, and two-nil at AFC Greenwich Borough.
Also yet to play a home game, the Ropes started with an entertaining two all draw at SC Thamesmead, lost one-nil at Staplehurst Monarchs and then drew nil-nil at Croydon. They will play their first game on their own pitch on Saturday when they host Rochester United.
In the league meetings between the two clubs last season, Bridon Ropes had the better of the exchanges. The game at Ladwell ended all square. Zac Ajose put Borough ahead in the last minute of the first half but the hosts couldn’t hold on and Rhonan Dunphy claimed a share of the points with an equaliser in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
Then, in the return match, the Charlton based club went one up five minutes before half time through Pat Ward before Elias London scored a second half brace.
As both teams are much changed from the sides that took to the field of play in those matches, there is not much that can be taken from them as a form guide other than the fact that it will be a competitive encounter.
