Lashings unveil 2012 squad

Maidstone based international cricket side Lashings World XI have unveiled their squad for the 2012 season.

Once again, former England all-rounder Phillip DeFreitas will skipper the side for another year, with John Lever continuing as manager.

Star names returning to play for Lashings include Courtney Walsh, Gordon Greenidge, Saqlain Mushtaq and Henry Olonga.

The 2012 campaign kicks off on May 25th when they travel to Rockhampton and with 35 fixtures to play this provisional squad will almost certainly see a few changes during the course of the season.

Lashings are also hopeful some of their old friends like Richie Richardson will be able to pop in when their international commitments allow.

For now however, John Lever will have an 18-man squad to choose from, as follows:

Phil DeFreitas (captain), Lou Vincent, Dean Headley, Saqlain Mushtaq, Mohammad Akram, John Emburey, Ed Giddins, Gordon Greenidge, Courtney Walsh, Ian Harvey, Devon Malcolm, Henry Olonga, Chris Harris, Ian Butler, Dominic Cork, Shaun Udal, Imran Nazir, Yasir Arafat.
