Kent’s Millie Knight claimed gold at the World Para Snow Sports Championships in Lillehammer in the Alpine Super Combined races, making it two medals in a matter of days.

The 23-year-old from Canterbury and PyeongChang Paralympic Games medallist, guided by Brett Wild, added to her bronze in Saturday’s Super-G race with Super Combined gold, as part of a British 1-2 that saw Menna Fitzpatrick take silver, guided by Katie Guest, with just 0.52s separating the British pair.

Sara Choi of South Korea took bronze, 5.92s behind Knight’s winning time of 2:12.10.

On Twitter, Knight excalaimed how proud she was: “SUPER COMBINED WORLD CHAMPIONS.”

“After what has been a very challenging year for us both, we never could have imagined achieving this result.

“Thank you to everyone for all your incredible support from all around the world; it means so much to us!”
