Key opens new training studio

Former Kent Cricket captain and England cricketer Rob Key has opened up an extension to a unique personal training studio on the outskirts of Canterbury.

Unit3 Personal Training Group which is situated at Port Farm in Upstreet, offers its’ clientele a diverse range of training methods in a very quiet and rural setting.

The thought process behind the studio is to offer clientele a very high standard of professional personal training in a friendly environment, unlike what you can expect to find in larger commercial gyms.

Offering its’ client base access to full nutritional analysis, health management, sport specific training, expedition training and 1 to 1 personal training, Unit3PT has already built up a diverse clientele ranging from elite professional athletes through to members of the general public looking to lose weight.

With access to the  River Stour and with a myriad of footpaths and bridle paths surrounding the rural location, the opportunity to include Kayaking and Mountain biking is one that not many studios can boast. The outdoor space around the facility also lends itself to functional outdoor training that includes among other things tyre flipping and weighted sled pulling.

Indoor training space is made up of over 2500 square feet of floor space and is comprised of a layout that is clean, safe and functional.

A functional training cage dominates the floor space at the far end of the studio lending itself to training methods that include rope climbing and the use of the built in monkey bars.

This is surrounded by a selection of free weights, boxing bags ,battle ropes, squat racks and resistance machines. A cardiovascular and stretching area run through the extension to complete a well balanced highly effective training space.

Strong roots within the local community are important to the studio, and they offer free health checks to the local villagers, and free 30-minute consultations for all.

Rob Key, who was in for a taster session with some of the Unit3PT training team said: “The session was top draw, Unit3 PT’s trainers are ahead of the curve when it comes to training methods.”

“With the unique location it offers its’ clients a very private and professional training experience.”

“The studio can only be seen as a huge positive for Canterbury and the surrounding areas. Check them out ’’

The studio also offers personal trainers a place to train their own client base. If you are a personal trainer and are interested in working at Unit3PT then please do contact them.
