Kent have named a 12-man squad for their game against Loughborough MCCU, starting at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence on Monday.

The squad features new signing David Griffiths, who would make his first class debut for Kent if he plays, with Mitch Claydon, youngster Matt Hunn and former Kent bowler Robbie Joseph also among the names included.

Joseph is yet to be awarded a new contract by Kent, so should he play, the game could serve as something of a trial opportunity for him.

There is no spinner included in the Kent squad, with James Tredwell back from the World T20 in Bangladesh but not included, and Adam Riley expected to feature for Loughborough – his university side.

Sam Billings is also selected as the wicket-keeper ahead of Geraint Jones.

The game offers an opportunity for players to push for inclusion in the club’s first LV= County Championship Division Two game at Worcestershire, which starts next Sunday – 13 April.

The three-day game is free entry for everyone, with car parking available on site, and the Member’s Pavilion bar area and the Les Ames Stand, including the new Spitfire Bar, open throughout the game.
