Kent unveil Championship shirt

Kent Cricket have showcased its playing kit for 2022’s LV= Insurance County Championship, supported by Club Partners Black Opal Travel Group, FGS Plant & WW Martin.

For the first time since the 2001 season, the Horse of Kent stands proudly alone on Kent’s County Championship kit, alongside the logo of the Club’s Official Kit Supplier, Castore Sportswear.

Castore-branded playing white trousers will also be worn by the Club’s Men’s First XI players, with new bespoke jumpers in plain white, a design that hasn’t been seen on a Kent side since the late 1980s.

2022 playing shirts will be priced at £50 for adults and £45 for juniors. Valid 2022 Kent Members receive 10% off their purchase of Kent Spitfires’ 2022 Castore LV= Insurance County Championship playing shirt in-store at the Kent Cricket Shop.

Delivery of the Championship range is expected next week, with replica Vitality Blast & Royal London Cup shirts already available.

The Kent Cricket Shop at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence is now open weekdays 10:00-17:00 and on Saturdays 10:00-14:00. Call the shop directly on 01227 473 617.

Kent Cricket’s Director of Partnerships, Andy Griffiths, said: “Our new County Championship shirt is the perfect mix of nodding to our rich history whilst also looking to the future – Castore’s high quality garments coupled with historic Kent designs will no doubt excite our Members and supporters even more and is another sign that the cricket season is so nearly upon us.

“With all three designs of our Castore playing kit now revealed, we’re now all set for an exciting Summer of sport in Kent.”

Kent Cricket’s Retail Manager, Barrie Dyer, said: “The designs of our three Men’s playing shirts for this season have been so well received and it’s great to see our Members and supporters so optimistic about the coming season when I speak to them at our Kent Cricket Shop.

“With a full Castore Kent Cricket training range also on the way, we’re looking forward to a new era of Kent Cricket kits!”
