Kent quintet to go the extra mile

Five good friends have come together to make a team to ride the London to Brighton bike ride on Father’s Day.

They have two goals within this challenge:

1) To complete the ride – they have no set time or speed goals just simply complete the 54-mile ride.

2) To make as much money for a fantastic charity – The British Heart Foundation.

Commenting on the epic challenge, Team Atlantic member Colin Gower explained why they were taking on the ride:

“Now if know me and you know I’m not a slim well-trained athlete and I would prefer to be in a drinking a pint (or two) in a public house rather than riding past them from London to Brighton so help spur myself and my fellow team mates.”

The five are Stafford Cox (Team leader), Darren Harding, Garry Filmer-Porter, Colin Gower and Wayne Sutton.

Did you know the London to Brighton bike ride is 54 miles…… That’s longer than: 2 London marathons or 12 Grand Nationals …
