Kent have named their side to face the touring South African side for the three day game at Canterbury beginning on Friday.

The side will be captained by batsman Sam Northeast with some of the more experienced members of the side are rested.

Club captain Rob Key is one of those that will have a rest this weekend with Darren Stevens, Brendan Nash, Geraint Jones, James Tredwell and Mark Davies also given much needed time off.

In their absence, in comes Daniel Bell-Drummond to open the batting alongside Northeast with the England Under 19 international looking to impress.

Ben Harmison and Mike Powell return to the Kent  line up having not featured in the Twenty 20 competition, whilst Alex Blake gets another chance to show what he can do in the first team.

With Geraint Jones out of the side, Sam Billings will be handed the wicketkeeper’s gloves, whilst Kent will operate with a five man bowling attack that sees Simon Cook given a rare run out in the longer form of the game.

Kent will also give fast bowler Matt Coles a game after the was rested for the last three Twenty 20 games with Charlie Shreck back in action after missing Twenty 20 like Harmison and Powell.

The other two slots in the side go to Ivan Thomas and Adam Riley with both youngsters having featured in the Championship team earlier in the season.

Tickets are just £10 for adults if bought by 9am in advance of the day that fans are going, so it should be a great opprtunity to watch some of the world’s best players right on your doorstep.
