Kent make double loan signing

Kent Cricket have confirmed the signings of Alfie Ogborne and Jake Ball for their next two Rothesay County Championship matches, on loan from Somerset, beginning with the trip to Gloucestershire this Friday.

Ogborne returns to the Club after having previously spent time at Kent on loan last Summer, and is joined by former England Test bowler Ball to join Kent’s bowling attack, with limited availability of contracted players through injury.

Having been thrashed by Glamorgan by an innings and 161 runs over the weekend, Kent will be desperate to bounce back in the West Country.

Injuries have already plagued Kent this season after a great start to life in Division Two of the County Championship.

With Jas Singh ruled out for the rest of the season along with overseas signing Keith Dudgeon, it has left the side short of bowling options.

Adam Hollioake has spoken of his desire to see his side play competitive cricket this week and will hope the addition of Ogborne and Ball will give them more of an edge.

Kent Men’s squad to face Gloucestershire will be confirmed shortly.
