Kent games decimated by snow
Kent games decimated by snow

Although the situation is likely to change over the coming days, there are still some games in Kent on despite the snow this weekend.

As it stands there are only two local sides playing in the National League. Dover have the opportunity to get themselves back into the playoff places at home to Leyton Orient whilst Maidstone will be looking to end their horrendous run of form at Solihull Moors.

Sitting two points clear at the top of the National League South, Dartford have the chance to extend their lead at Gloucester City. Welling, who are also looking for promotion this season, could go as high as fifth if they are able to beat Hemel Hempstead convincingly at Park View Road.

There still haven’t been any postponements in the Bostik Premier Division either. Margate could go top with a win at Hartsdown Park over Kingstonian.

Folkestone Invicta only sit three points behind the Thanet side and could overtake Dulwich Hamlet into Third on Saturday. They are set to host Harlow Town on the coast.

Tonbridge Angels’ mid table season is set to continue this week. Despite being safe from relegation they are still ten points off the playoffs. If they want to be in with a chance of an extended season this year they’ll need to win at Dulwich on Saturday.

There is still plenty to play for in the Bostik South over the course of the coming months as well. Cray Wanderers have slipped from title contenders to playoff challengers over the last couple of weeks. They’ll look to get back on form this weekend at home to Whyteleafe.

One of the North Kent side’s most recent defeats came at the hands of Ashford United, and the Homelands club will be hoping to build on that result at Horsham on Saturday.

Hythe Town are just six points off the playoff places and they have the chance to close the gap on Saturday when they make the trip to Molesey.

Other fixtures this weekend include Phoenix Sport’s away game at Chipstead and Ramsgate’s tough afternoon at Lewes whilst Faversham and Herne Bay are at home to Shoreham and Carshalton respectively.

There are three other games in step four within the county on Saturday. These are Sittingbourne vs Greenwich Borough, Thamesmead vs East Grinstead and VCD vs Corinthian Casuals.

The information on postponed matches is correct as of 21:20 on Thursday evening.
