KSN are proud to support:

Kent FA VIP’s attend final KDFL adult tournament
Kent FA VIP’s attend final KDFL adult tournament

The adults took to the pitches for the last time on Sunday 30 in the last round of games for the 2016/2017 season.

The sun was out as the 6 leagues commenced games at 10am. The league was joined on the day by Barry Bright (Kent FA Chairman), Philip Smith (Kent FA Vice Chairman) and Lauren Cundy (Kent FA Disability development Officer) whom all walked round the venue and watched some amazing, enjoyable football.

Once all the results were in we proceeded with the presentation with Steve Lancaster (clubs Rep) being the toast master.

Steve started off by introducing the presentation party and asked Barry Bright if he would like to say a few words.

Barry gave a remarkable, enlightening speech to the hordes of players/parents/carers/managers that were gathered around.

Within Barry’s speech he stated that “many years ago he had got into football because of the enjoyment it brought to many people. Walking around the venue it was clear to see that enjoyment had not gone from football and for that he was pleased.” Everyone gave Barry a huge round of applause and Steve carried on with the proceedings.

Steve thanked all of the Committee for their continued hard work as if it was not for them there would not be tournaments like today’s.

He then thanked all the parents/carers for bringing the players to the tournaments. Every player received a medal on the day with the winners of each division getting a gold, the runners up a silver and all others a bronze.

The medals were sponsored by one of our league partners the Kent County Football League. The winners and runners up also received a trophy that were also sponsored by various parents/companies.

The referees whom have officiated all season and kept the games running smoothly were also presented with a small trophy to say thank you for all their help on match days.

Everyone stayed to applause all players wherever they finished in their respective divisions.

Brian Gray (KDFL Chairman) also presented the VIP’s with a trophy to say thank you for taking time out to help us celebrate disability football in Kent.

The Final tables can be found on their website www.kentdl.co.uk
