Kent pair Adam Ball and Daniel Bell-Drummond have been selected for the England Under 19 squad that will tour Bangladesh.

Ball will captain the 15-man tour party which includes eight players who featured in this summer’s One-Day series against South Africa with Bell-Drummond also part of the party that heads to Bangladesh in January.

England Under 19s are due to depart the UK on January 12th for a seven-match series of U19 One-Day Internationals against their hosts with the first encounter due to take place in Chittagong on January 20th.

Both Ball and Bell-Drummond have broken into the Kent side in the past year with Ball proving to be useful with both bat and ball, whilst Bell-Drummond featured in three Championship games towards the end of last season.

Adam Ball commented on today’s announcement; “It is a great achievement to be selected, and an honour to be asked to captain. I look forward to captaining and the challenging conditions both on and off the field.

“It will be nice to have Daniel Bell-Drummond in the squad as well. We have grown up together through the Kent system, we know each other really well which will enable us to cope with the challenges and support each other during the tour.”
