Kent Cricket marks Armistice Day

Kent Cricket players, coaches and staff congregated at the Colin Blythe Memorial inside The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence to mark Armistice Day, 11 November.

The Club’s Chairman, Simon Philip and Head Coach Matt Walker were joined by the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment (PWRR)’s Lieutenant Woodruff in laying wreaths at the memorial dedicated to the Kent players killed in action during both World Wars and named after one of Kent’s most successful bowlers, Colin Blythe, who fell during the First World War.

In a Remembrance Service led by the Club’s Chaplain, Barney de Berry, the Club observed a two minutes’ silence to remember all who have fallen during conflict.
