Kent clubs learn FA Cup fate

Kent’s remaining clubs in the FA Cup learnt their First Round fate after the draw was made on Sunday afternoon.

Five of Kent’s sides remain in the competition after Saturday’s round of games.

Folkestone Invicta and Dover Athletic will both need replays to make it through to the First Round after draws at the weekend.

Meanwhile, both Bromley and Ebbsfleet United are in with a chance of progressing having been handed Football League opposition in the First Round.

Gillingham have been handed a home tie and will face Cheltenham Town at Priestfield.

For Bromley, they face a tough away trip Rotherham United, whilst Ebbsfleet United will need to win at Leyton Orient to progress.

Should Dover Athletic see their way past Yate Town on Tuesday night, they will either face Yeovil Town or Weymouth at Crabble.

Finally, Folkestone Invicta will be hoping to see their way past Eastleigh after the two sides drew 3-3 on Saturday and would then face a trip to Boreham Wood.

Neil Cugley’s side were 3-0 up at Eastleigh, but were pegged back and will now hope they can progress on the Kent coast on Tuesday night.

The first round proper will be held across the weekend of Friday 5th until Monday 8th November 2021 with winning clubs collecting £22,629 from the competition’s prize fund.
