Kent Under-14 boys’ golf team continued the county’s recent run of success when they won their Inter-Counties League final against Surrey at Rochester & Cobham GC on Sunday.

The Kent youngsters won a tightly-fought contest 6.5-5.5 in difficult conditions at the Medway course, with strong winds and showers, to follow up the success of the county men’s team who had become English champions the previous weekend. Sunday’s victory also provided “sweet revenge” for Kent after they had lost to Surrey in last year’s final.

The Kent squad, managed by Kim Brusadelli  and coached by Peter Parks, was: Jake Antoun (Kings Hill and Rochester & Cobham),Luke Jenkins  (Rochester & Cobham  and West Kent), Jack Lee (Dartford and Rochester & Cobham), Lucas Dennison (Rochester & Cobham), Jake Potter (Chelsfield Lakes), Jack Swift  (North Foreland and Royal Cinque Ports), Riley Dowle (Rochester & Cobham and Sittingbourne & Milton Regis), Joshua Dugard (Chelsfield Lakes), Abe Bignell (Kings Hill and Rochester &Cobham), Tom Patterson (Boughton), Max Moseley (Knole Park), Ethan Hall  (Hever Castle and Knole Park), and Bleu Landau (Upchurch River Valley).
