Kent Cricket have announced the signing of South African fast bowler Glenton Stuurman for the start of the 2026 Rothesay County Championship, subject to regulatory approval.

The 33-year-old is a domestic teammate of Keith Dudgeon (who is returning to Kent this Summer) at Goldrush Boland, where he has taken 21 wickets so far this season in five appearances, including six for 61 against Titans earlier this Winter in the Cricket South Africa 4-Day Series.
In all, the right armer has 277 first-class wickets to his name in 82 appearances at an average of 24.05. He has also made an appearance for the South Africa Men’s Test team.
Stuurman is available for Kent in the County Championship from 3 April away at Durham until the reverse fixture at The County Ground, Beckenham beginning on 15 May.
He will then be replaced by fellow-countryman Senuran Muthusamy, who will complete the 2026 red-ball season with Kent.
On signing for Kent, Stuurman said: “I’m delighted to be joining Kent and excited for the opportunity to test myself in County Championship cricket during the English Summer.
“I’m excited to play County Championship cricket for the first time in my career and determined to make an impact for Kent.
“Representing Kent carries a lot of weight, a club with a huge history in the game and a place where a lot of my fellow countrymen have made their names before.
“I’m looking forward to playing in front of Kent’s Members and supporters.”
Kent’s Director of Cricket, Simon Cook, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Glenton to Kent for the start of the season.
“He brings a wealth of experience to our attack, with more than 250 first-class wickets to his name, and it will be great for him to link up again with his Boland teammate, Keith Dudgeon.
“Glenton is a skilful operator who will help us start the season strongly and maintain pressure throughout the campaign along with our other quicks.”
