Jones jumps up to add depth to the Dynamos

Invicta Dynamos Player-Coach Anthony Leone continues to promote from within the junior ranks with the signing of 17 year old forward Kieron Jones who will represent both the Invicta Colts under 18s and the Mos in 2019/20.

Kieron Jones is a product of the youth setup in Kent and worked his way through the junior ranks to earn a senior debut with the Invicta Mustangs in the NIHL South’s second tier last season. Jones split his time between the Invicta Colts under 18s and the Mustangs in 2018/19 and the promising forward was on target for both.

In 17 outings at junior level Jones found the net 8 times and played a role in 7 more for a total of 15 points. Despite his youth he also made an impression in the NIHL South Division 2 with a goal and 2 assists in 19 fixtures with the Invicta Mustangs. Now the young forward is looking to maintain his development in 2019/20 by continuing with the under 18s whilst also securing a debut in the NIHL South’s top tier with the Dynamos.

Speaking on his step up to the Mos, Kieron Jones said, “As a junior you always dream of playing for the top team at the rink and to now have the opportunity to be a part of a new legacy at this brilliant club is something I’m really excited about. I couldn’t wait to sign! This season I will bring youth, speed and determination to the side and will be giving my all to improve my game by working with the more experienced players around me. I can’t wait to be a part of the Dark Horse Dynasty!”

Talking on his new recruit, Player-Coach Anthony Leone said, “Kieron is an Invicta Junior who has really impressed me over the summer. He has all the tools to develop into a great senior player. Like Owen Rider, he will be on a two-way contract with the juniors and will play for the under 18As first and then us when needed. I see a bright future for Kieron and hope to see him wearing a Dynamos jersey for many years to come. Hopefully this is just the start of his journey with the senior side.”

Kieron Jones will wear the number 14 jersey when he ices for the Invicta Dynamos in 2019/20.
