Continually changing weather conditions presented problems for all karters throughout the weekend, but the talented 13 year old drove consistently well, his efforts awarding him a place on the podium as he came in second.

Reflecting on the weekend, Kiern said: “The race was hard at the beginning, it became important to find the dry patches. Things improved as the race progressed, It’s just a shame I wasn’t quite able to overtake David on the last lap. I’d like to thank ONE engines and everyone who supported me this weekend.”

Kieren Clark, Head of MB Partners’ Young Driver Academy added: “A strong weekend from Kiern, he’s bounced back from the slight mistake at the British Championship and I believe he has worried a few people this weekend as his speed and race-craft has been exceptional. The team did a great job and everyone is working well which reflected in his results.”

Jewiss’ success in Adria leaves him 6th in the Championship standings. His next race in the series is the penultimate of the European Championship, held in Portimao, Portugal from 23rd to 26th June.

Prior to that, Kiern will take to the circuit of Shenington from 15th to 17th July for the second round of the British Championship.
