Kiern Jewiss will join the Porsche Carrera Cup GB with Team Parker Racing for 2021.

The 19-year-old will race in the pro class in his debut season in the Porsche as part of the TOCA package.

Kiern was a star in karting, claiming 195 trophies, before joining the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2017, where he became Rookie Champion. He was even more impressive the following year, not only taking the F4 British Championship at the first attempt, but also scored a record-breaking number of points and podium finishes.

Racing in the BRDC British F3 Championship for the past two seasons, the Kent-native recorded two wins and ten podiums as well as being named a BRDC SuperStar and a finalist in the then-titled McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.

Looking for a new challenge, Kiern returns to the ‘TOCA’ package where he achieved so much success, teaming up with Harry King in the Pro class, as well as Ryan Ratcliffe (Pro-Am), and Justins Sherwood and Armstrong (Am).

The 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season gets underway at Snetterton on the slightly later than originally scheduled date of 12/13 June, with the calendar pushed back to hopefully allow fans to return to circuits for the majority of the season. The 16 race, eight weekend campaign draws to a close at Kiern’s home circuit of Brands Hatch in October.

Speaking about the opportunity, Jewiss said: “It’s great to finally confirm my place in Porsche Carrera Cup GB. The championship is very competitive, and with the calibre of drivers on the grid it really feels like a natural step up from the BRDC British F3 Championship. I think Porsche has created a very attractive package with its prizes and potential progression, too.

“It was a simple decision to join Team Parker Racing with the success they had last year and my target is pretty straightforward; to win the title! Having Harry [King] alongside me in the team will be a challenge but also a great reference. I can’t wait to get started.”

Team Principal Stuart Parker is pleased to have signed Jewiss to race for them in 2021.

He said: “We are delighted to welcome Kiern to the team. Everything has happened quite quickly over the past few months, but he has consistently proved to be quick in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car despite it being a big change from the single seaters he has been racing.

“It was no fluke that he was a McLaren Autosport BRDC Award finalist and drove so well in both Ginetta and F4, so we’re really happy to have him as part of the team as we aim to repeat as much success in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB as possible.”
