The Invicta Dynamos finished the weekend with four points after winning 8-4 against Romford Junior Raiders.

Goals from Tomas Banovsky, Owen Dell, Anthony Leone, Tom Davis and Elliot Farrell helped the Dynamos win with a comfortable four goal lead.

Dynamos missed Gregor McAllen, Joe Stephenson and Mark Williams. Junior Raiders had 14 players and two netminders.

Juraj Huska opened the game with a slapshot towards Thomas Adams. The Junior Raiders netminder managed to knock the puck away.

First goal of the game for Junior Raiders as Samuel Austin sent the puck flying beyond Zac Grandy-Smith and into the top corner. Goal one for Junior Raiders scored at 6:43.

Davis passed to Huska across the net, but Adams read the play and managed to stop the shot point blank range.

End of the first period and Junior Raiders led 1-0.

Player/ Coach Anthony Leone started the second period off with a huge hit on Ross Cowan who fell head first into the boards.

Dynamos got their first goal of the game from Tomas Banovsky. Jake Stedman fed Owen Dell from the blue line. Dell sent the pass across the goal crease to find Banovsky. Goal one for the Dynamos scored at 24:26.

Junior Raiders were quick to retaliate as Austin passed the puck across the crease of Grandy-Smith to Matt Brown who buried the puck. Goal two scored at 25:03.

Less than a minute later, Banovsky got his second of the night as he fooled the Junior Raiders defencemen and fired the puck over Adams. Goal two scored at 25:48, and the teams were level once again.

Another goal for the Dynamos as Dell received a pass across the crease from Elliot Farrell. Goal three scored at 30:58.

Leone got his shot at a goal as Huska fed him the puck at point blank range. The puck caught Adams’ skate before it fell over the line. Goal four scored at 32:44.

Dynamos were on fire as Davis smashed a slapshot from the slot and it flew top right into the net. Goal five for the Dynamos scored at 33:13.

Five quick goals from the Dynamos gave them a 5-2 lead.

Only 30 seconds later, Junior Raiders Jan Marcilis managed to roof the puck over Grandy-Smith. Goal three for Junior Raiders scored at 33:47, Junior Raider made it 5-3.

Farrell smashed the puck towards the goal, the puck hit the underside of the bar. The team celebrated but Adams did not think it went in, but the officials gave the goal. Goal six scored at 36:05.

Teams shoved in front of Grandy-Smith, Dale Buckland cross checked Marcilis but the Junior Raiders import skates away. Campbell appeared from the bench and incited a fight from Buckland. Buckland dropped his gloves and helmet, but Campbell skated away.

Campbell escaped a penalty, but Buckland received two minutes for cross checking and two minutes for interference as well as a 10-minute misconduct.

End of the second period and Dynamos led 6-3.

Start of the third period and the Dynamos were on the penalty kill. They managed to kill the four-minute penalty.

Back to full strength, Banovsky achieved his hat trick as he shot the puck low and inside the far post. Goal seven for the Dynamos scored at 41:47.

Ryan Morgan received a two-minute hooking penalty. Powerplay for the Junior Raiders.

Banovsky with his fourth of the night with a shorthanded goal. Dell skated down the wing and passed to Banovsky who was ready in the slot. Goal eight for the Dynamos scored at 43:15. Dynamos led 8-3.

Davis planted a small hit on Ellie Wakeling in the corner, the Junior retaliated with a hit. Davis skated away but George Gell did not appreciate his hit on Wakeling.

Gell and Davis drop the gloves and helmets. Gell released the size of Davis and cuddled into him. The two fell without any punches being thrown.

The pair received 2+2 for fighting.

Goal for Junior Raiders scored by Sam Roberts. Goal four scored at 52:33.

Buckland came back to the game and was looking for a fight, but the Junior Raiders ignored him.

With less than a minute, Buckland got himself a two-minute hooking penalty. Junior Raiders fans shouted down at him, so Buckland pointed at the score board, which got him his second misconduct of the game.

First home win of 2020 for the Invicta Dynamos as they won 8-4 against local rivals Romford Junior Raiders.

Man, of the match for Junior Raiders was Samuel Austin. Dynamos man of the match was given to Tomas Banovsky for his four goals.
