Invicta Dynamos finished the weekend with yet another four points. The Kent team won 11-2 against Oxford City Stars on Sunday night at Planet Ice Gillingham.

Goals from Anthony Leone (2), Tomas Banovsky (2), Conor Redmond (2), Luke Thirkettle, Elliot Farrell, Jake Stedman, Juraj Huska and Owen Dell, helped the Dynamos secure their win over Oxford City Stars.

Dynamos were missing Gregor McAllan, Kieron Jones, Mark Williams and Arran Strawson. Oxford missed Jake Florey, Adam Andrews, Dax Hedges and Michael Whillock.

Zachary Grandy-Smith started in net for the Dynamos. While Ross Miller was between the pipes for Oxford.

First period was underway. Dale Buckland gave the puck away and Josh Oliver managed to get a shot on Grandy-Smith, the puck went wide.

Oxford got another chance at a goal as Darren Elliot took a slapshot from the top of the left circle. Grandy-Smith managed to pull off a quick pad save.

The Dynamos got there first chance as Banovsky skated the full length of the ice, but his shot was deflected by Miller.

Another chance for the Dynamos as Brandon Webster set up Huska who smashed the puck towards the net but Miller managed to pull off a save.

First penalty of the game as Jack Hayes received two-minutes for hooking. Powerplay for the Dynamos.

Defenceman Henry Aiken tried to get his second goal of the season as he tried to backhand the puck into the net.

Banovsky skated from one end to the other, his shot was blocked but the puck was poked in from close range. The goal was wiped out at 11:01 as officials ruled it out for man in the crease.

Unhappy with the call, Huska shot the puck into the top left corner just 25 seconds later giving the Dynamos a 1-0 lead. Goal one for the Dynamos scored at 11:25.

Farrell tried to increase the Dynamos lead as he skated around three Oxford players, but the shot went over the net.

Oxford managed to escape their zone 2-on-1. Oliver passed the puck to the back post where Max Florey was waiting. Grandy-Smith slid across his crease and managed to save.

Back into the Oxford zone and the Dynamos tried to get their second of the night. Aiken not in position allowed the Stars to escape once again but this time 3-on-1. Elliot tried to score with a slapshot, but the puck went wide.

With one second left in the first period, Huska passed the puck to the slot were Stedman was waiting. Stedman shot the puck beyond Miller. Second goal of the night for the Dynamos scored at 19:59.

End of the first and Dynamos led 2-0.

Second period underway. Tom Davis passed the puck to Banovsky who got a clear shot on Miller, but the puck hit the cross bar.

Oxford forward Oliver Shone managed to skate up the ice and tried to get the Stars first goal of the night but his shot was fired over the top of the net.

From the Dynamos zone, Banovsky skated past all five Oxford players and flicked the puck into the net from point blank range. Goal three for the Dynamos scored at 26:24.

Oxford managed to get their first goal of the night as Joe Edwards beat Buckland. Grandy-Smith saved the puck, but it slipped from his pads and crossed the goal line. Goal one for Oxford scored at 28:41.

Dynamos retaliated with another goal. Webster took the puck round the back of the net and passed to Redmond who was waiting in the slot. Redmond scored point blank range. Goal four for the Dynamos scored at 30:58.

Off the face off, Davis passed the puck to Redmond and the forward shot the puck over Miller. Goal five for the Dynamos scored eight seconds later at 31:06.

Timeout for Oxford after the goal. Mark Duffy replaced Ross Miller in net for Oxford.

The change of netminder did not stop the Dynamos scoring streak as Dell shot towards Duffy. The puck was given up for a rebound and Farrell poked the puck into the net. Goal six for the Dynamos scored at 32:42.

Thirkettle decided he needed to add his name to the list of scorers as he roofed the puck over Duffy off of the Oxford zone faceoff. Goal seven scored at 36:24.

End of the second period and the Dynamos led 7-1.

Third period started and Banovsky got his second of the night at 41:39. The forward beat two of the Oxford players and got another clear shot on Duffy, a backhand secured him his second of the night. Goal eight scored at 41:39.

Oxford attempted to score their second as Oliver shot the puck towards Grandy-Smith, but his shot hits the underside of the bar and lands outside of the net.

Stedman carried the puck down the ice. He passed to Huska who set up Leone. Leone shot the puck and hit the back post. Goal nine for the Dynamos scored at 50:48.

Oxford got their second of night as Buckland was robbed by Shone behind the Dynamos net. Shone passed to Jake Williams who shot close range. Goal two for Oxford scored at 52:37.

Dynamos tried to get double figures. Stedman found Harrison Lillis who was charging towards the net. Lillis’ shot was saved by Duffy.

Oxford’s Florey received a two-minute slashing penalty. Powerplay for the Dynamos.

Leone made use of the powerplay as he received the pass from Davis and converted the pass into a goal. Goal 10 for the Dynamos scored at 57:09.

Off the faceoff, Ryan Morgan shot the puck from the blue line. The shot was blocked at flew into the air. Dell swatted the puck from mid-air and the puck went beyond Duffy. Goal 11 for the Dynamos scored at 58:21.

End of the game and the Dynamos won 11-2 against Oxford City Stars. Six straight wins for the Dynamos in 2020.

Man of the match for Oxford was awarded to Joshua Oliver. Dynamos man of the match went to Conor Redmond for his two goals.
