Detling based Team Hard Racing came away with an Independents victory in the latest round of the Kick Fit British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton.

Dan Lloyd was the man to pick up the victory for the team with his 10th place finish in race two on Sunday afternoon.

It was the best finish for the team at the latest round with Bobby Thompson netting points in race three, having finished outside the points in races ones and two.

Lloyd also picked up a point in race three and finished outside the points in race one.

Dexter Patterson picked up points in race three having also finished outside the points in races one and two.

Jade Edwards had to sit out the final race of the weekend after damage to the sub-frame in race two, with a highest finish of 25th in race one.

Nic Hamilton and Jack Butel had a tough weekend with a 17th place finish as the highest between them.

Speaking after the weekend, Lloyd said: “A really positive weekend, it was really nice to have the pace in the car to move forwards in the races and of course get the independent win. We’ve also scored some great points for the team which has kept us in the lead of the independent team’s championship.

“It was a real shame in race 3 to get knocked off on the first lap but we did a great job to battle back to P15 and a point scoring position before being knocked off again. It was a shame but the real positive is that we have the pace to move forward and it’s giving me a lot of confidence for the coming rounds.”
