Holy linked with Gillingham exit

Gillingham goalkeeper Tomas Holy is believed to be attracting interest from a number of Premier League and Championship clubs.

Holy joined Gillingham last January from Sparta Prague and he has established himself as No.1 goalkeeper at the Priestfield with the keeper an ever-present in the league so far this season.

The 6ft,9in shot-stopper has caught the eye this term with six clean sheets in 22 League One games and his displays have brought him to the attention of clubs higher up the football pyramid.

Holy is earning himself a reputation as one of the best keepers in the Football League with his sheer size and presence making him a formidable barrier for opposition forward lines.

Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace are in the market for a new goalkeeper when the transfer window reopens in January and they have been keeping tabs on Holy.

Championship duo Derby County and Bristol City have also been monitoring Holy as they look to bolster their goalkeeping options and they have been regular visitors to the Priestfield to cast an eye over the Czech Republic keeper.

Gillingham would be reluctant to lose the giant keeper as they battle to secure survival in League One, but they are bracing themselves for interest in the commanding custodian.
