Holmesdale vs Meridian VP preview

Holmesdale entertain Meridian VP in SCEFL Division One at Oakley Road tonight looking to continue their unbeaten run of thirteen games going and keep their challenge up at the top of the table.

Lee Roots’ side drew 1-1 at home to second placed Kennington on Saturday, playing all of the second half with ten men, the draw took Dale to 42 points from 19 games and kept them in fourth place just five points off the leaders Rusthall with three games in hand.

The Dalers, who have only lost one league game so far this campaign, strengthened their squad ahead of Saturday’s game, signing Kameiko Pope-Campbell and Billy Muckle as they look to make a push for promotion.

Meridian make the trip over from Charlton on the back of two heavy defeats, since drawing 1-1 at Snodland at the end of January they have lost 7-0 to Kennington and 8-0 at home to Greenways at the weekend. Dwinder Tamna’s VP side will be keen to turn things around with the team currently sitting in fourteenth on 17 points from 21 league matches, four points clear of the bottom two.

When the sides met at The Meridian Sports Club Ground in September the game finished 0-0 and this promises to be an interesting match up between teams in need of points at either end of the table as they heads into the crucial final third of the season.

Kick off at Oakley Road is at 7:30pm, entrance is £7.
