Holmesdale v Tower Hamlets preview

Holmesdale return to SCEFL Premier Division action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Tower Hamlets at Oakley Road.

Dale go into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat away to Hollands & Blair, a result that sees them sitting in seventh place with twenty two points from fifteen league games played, winning seven, drawing once and losing seven.

Manager Lee Roots has over seen a good transition to life in the higher division following their promotion, helped by the goal scoring exploits of the forward line Owen Punselie, Nathan Palmer & Andy Constable.

Tower Hamlets make the trip over from East London sitting twentieth place with four points from fourteen league games, winning once, drawing once and losing twelve.

Having moved over from the Essex Senior League last season, Hamlets are ground sharing with Phoenix Sports and are still settling in to football life south of the river having missed out on most of the last campaign.

On Saturday Tower Hamlets lost 1-3 at home to Bearsted, Benas Vaivada putting them in front early on before The Bears came from behind to win.

When the teams met in the reverse fixture in September Holmesdale won 3-1 at Tower Hamlets thanks to two goals from Andy Constable and one from Nathan Palmer, while Ismael Mendy netted for the home team.

With both sides looking to get back to winning ways this looks set to be a hard fought entertaining match.

Entrance for the match is £8 for adults and £5 for concessions, with a printed programme for £2.
