A piece of magic for Hollands & Blair saw them edge a tight game against Phoenix Sports, and in doing so they made it two wins on the bounce and into the play-off places.

The first half chance of the game came in the seventh minute when Reece Gillies on the edge of the area turned sharply but his shot went over the bar.

A minute later Phoenix nearly took the lead when Steve Townsend received the ball on the left wing, and he cut in and from fifteen yards saw his shot come back of the crossbar. Another half chance came five minutes later when Charlie Watson’s back header fell short of Dan Ellis and Khayrie Harris latched onto it but his lob over Ellis ended up on top the net.

In the 13^th minute Harris got to the by-line on the right and his low cross to the back post was cleared under pressure by Mo Cham. Harris was the main man for Sports and in the 41^st minute in the area his shot was deflected for a corner and from the resulting corner a flicked header went just past the post.

Half time arrived and both managers had work to do as the first half left a lot to be desired.

The second half continued like the first with neither side looking like scoring. The first real chance came in the 70^th minute when Kane Rowland was put through but his shot from fifteen yards was saved by Ryan McCourt.

Three minutes later Harris saw his twenty-yard shot saved by Ellis. Blair finally broke through in the 80^th minute when Cham ten yards in his own half picked up the ball and ran the whole half and from the by-line his low cross was bundled in by Rowland from one yard.  Phoenix threw everything at Blair but to no avail and Blair took the three points.
