Holcombe Hockey Club have confirmed the arrival of South Africa international Trevor de Lora, who becomes Kwan Browne’s sixth summer signing.

de Lora follows Mikey Royden-Turner, Ali Douglas, Dom Dixon, Tom Moorhouse and Ellis Robson in joining the club ahead of the 2025/26 season.
He is currently playing in the Green vs. Gold series in South Africa bidding for Nations Cup selection in June.
Since making his international debut in 2022, de Lora has won 21 caps playing for South Africa, scoring once.
His international experience includes the Pro League, Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and two Nations Cup tournaments – including South Africa’s triumphant 2022 campaign – while he also scored twice in six under-21 matches for his country at the 2021 Junior World Cup.
de Lora spent two seasons with East Grinstead having signed for the Sussex side in the summer of 2023, helping them to ninth and eighth-placed finishes at the end of Phase Two in the Premier Division before, this season, missing out on League Finals qualification in Phase Three.
On joining Holcombe, he said: “I’m excited to join Holcombe Hockey Club for the upcoming season!
“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and contributing to our shared goals and successes.”
Head Coach and Director of Hockey Browne added: “Trevor brings not just his skills and experience on the field, but also a vibrant personality which will contribute positively to our club culture.
“We’re excited to see how his knowledge and enthusiasm will strengthen the bond among our players both on and off the pitch.”
We are delighted to welcome Trevor to the club and can’t wait to see him in the red and black!
We also wish him all the best in earning selection for next month’s Nations Cup.
