Holcombe make fifth summer signing

Holcombe Hockey Club have confirmed the signing of Great Britain Elite Development Programme (EDP) player Mikey Royden-Turner, who becomes Kwan Browne’s fifth summer signing.

Royden-Turner joins fellow EDP player Ali Douglas in joining the club ahead of the 2025/26 season, along with the previous arrivals of Ellis Robson, Tom Moorhouse and New Zealand goalkeeper Dom Dixon.

The former Oxted man was a key part of last season’s side which qualified for League Finals weekend, netting four times in the Premier Division including a wonderful solo goal at Holcombe Park as Browne’s side ran out 7-2 winners.

He was also part of the EDP squad which won the Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia in 2024.

On joining the club, Royden-Turner said: “I am really excited to be joining Holcombe and working with Kwan and the team.

“I can’t wait to get started and help the club achieve its goals.”

Head Coach and Director of Hockey Browne added: “Finding players who embody both skill and determination is truly a gem, and we could not be happier to welcome Mikey to our team.

“His explosive playing style and keen eye for goal are sure to light up the pitch and bring a fresh dynamic to our squad.”

We are excited to welcome Mikey to the club and can’t wait to see him in the red and black!
