Hill seeking home comforts
Hill seeking home comforts

Jake Hill is back to a happy hunting ground this weekend, as he heads to Brands Hatch – the scene of his Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship triumph in 2024.

Hill and his Laser Tools Racing team will be seeking some home comforts as they look to get their season win account up and running on the Indy Circuit.

The team enters the second round of the campaign looking to build on a solid start, with Kent-born Jake Hill securing two fourth-place finishes and a tenth in the opening round. Those results place him sixth in the Drivers’ Championship with 32 points.

Piloting their WSR-run BMW 330i M Sport, Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport will tackle the shortest circuit on the calendar—just 1.21 miles in length. Brands Hatch Indy is known for its high-intensity nature, with drivers lapping well under the 50-second mark and navigating the circuit’s signature rollercoaster-like elevation changes, leaving little room for error.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Hill said: “Although we made progress during the opening weekend and came away with a good points haul, our full focus has been on raising our game and challenging those at the front of the grid. Returning to Brands Hatch is a real confidence boost—being born and raised in Kent, it’s a special place for me, and I can’t wait to get out there in front of a home crowd.”

“Brands Hatch Indy presents a unique challenge with its short layout, which makes qualifying absolutely crucial for Sunday’s races. There’s little room for error, but I’m confident that both the team and I will be giving everything we’ve got to be back fighting at the front.”
