Hill ready for Thruxton test

The fastest circuit on the Kwik Fit BTCC calendar is the challenge that awaits the 30 competitors as they head to Thruxton in Hampshire for rounds 7,8 and 9 of the 2019 Championship and Kent’s Jake Hill can’t wait.

Trade Price Cars Racing’s Jake Hill has shown some incredible fighting spirit in the opening two weekends, scoring points in 4 of the 6 races, including a 2nd place in the season opener at Brands Hatch.

25 year-old Hill lies 8th overall and 5th in the Independent Driver’s Championship, with points scored by him and his team mate Mark Blundell seeing Trade Price Cars Racing 4th in the Independent Teams Championship, with Hill and Blundell having collectively completed 69 overtakes, the most of any team in 2019!

“We have been strong in terms of our pace at both Brands Hatch and Donington, and were it not for some misfortune preventing us from finishing a couple of times I’m certain we would be in the top four overall of the series. The team are doing a superb job, and the car is getting stronger. I’m loving driving our Audi S3, and feel we will have a quick and balanced car this weekend’

Hill will welcome guests from Aston Lark, ABGO, Danfoss and for the first time will proudly display the logos of Seaton Tramway on the front wings of the No.24 machine, and feels now that the positive performances are giving the whole team confidence.

“We have some fantastic people in the team. Both at the workshop and at the race weekends, the team off track that look after our all-important hospitality and media, and it’s great to see the amount of support we have from the amazing BTCC fans.

“Thruxton is always a pretty wild ride and I’ve had a tough few years but love the challenge – I got my first-ever Pole Position here in Ginetta Juniors back in 2009, and took a Win here the following year, so it’s about time I got another one here!’
