Leading British Touring Car Championship driver, Jake Hill, has been named as a member of the illustrious BRDC SuperStars programme for a third year, highlighting the British driver’s reputation as one of the country’s brightest motorsport talents.

Jake, from Kent, joins the programme for a third year, aiming to build on the momentum the 28-year-old has built since joining the programme – where he has become one of the BTCC’s front-running challengers, claiming fifth place in the 2021 standings with two race wins and nine podium finishes.

Together with ROKiT MB Motorsport and West Surrey Racing, Jake takes the wheel of the BMW 330e in 2022 and is set to embark on the most exciting year of his career to date with the support of the BRDC SuperStars behind him.

The BRDC SuperStars programme was first created by 1996 F1 World Champion Damon Hill with the aim of supporting and developing the most promising young British drivers across all classes of competition. With guidance and mentorship from Director Andy Meyrick and a wealth of specialists, drivers are supported both on and off track.

“I’m immensely proud to be part of the BRDC SuperStars for a third year,” Jake said. “Hopefully, with Covid being a little more in the past, I can make the most of being a BRDC SuperStar.”

“I’m looking forward to doing a few more of the group days. The one at Warwick University was really good and a useful day. You’re only on the programme for a short time so you’ve really got to make the most of it.”

Mark Blundell, CEO of MB Partners added:

“As one of the country’s most talented drivers, Jake is very deserving of his place on the BRDC SuperStars programme. It’s a great initiative to support and recognise the best drivers racing today and I’m very proud to see Jake selected once again.”

“This year is going to be an incredibly exciting journey for Jake so it’s brilliant that he’ll have the support and belief of a club such as the BRDC.”
