Hill hoping to build on recent success

After a superb opening Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship weekend at Brands Hatch earlier this month, Trade Price Cars Racing driver Jake Hill now heads to the sweeping Leicestershire circuit confident of building on his success so far.

“To have taken a podium in race one was fantastic for everyone in the team, but what was really pleasing was our pace in race two – with 48kgs of success balance on board – we finished a strong fourth, in fact just missed out on another podium. We were right in the mix in race three as well, so all in all a great start’

Hill first drove the 2019 edition Audi S3 at Donington on an unseasonably warm February day, and worked through several set-up ideas with the team, the combination of the data gathered that day and that gained since helping the 25 year-old Kent based driver feel confident in the team’s chances for round two.

“We found some very conclusive info when we went testing, but since then have been able to build on this really well. Both Mark (Blundell) and I have a very clear plan of what we hope to acheive’

“As for hopes this weekend. More podiums would be great of course, but a realistic goal is to again qualify in the top half of the grid, and aim for three strong points scoring finishes.’

“Donington is one of my favourite circuits, I’ve been quick here in everything I’ve raced in so hopefully we’ll be in the mix.’
