Sunday football takes place at Princes Park when Halls AFC host Lydd Town in the Southern Counties East Football League First Division.

Currently in thirteenth place in the table, Halls have only played ten games and there are two other teams between them and the bottom three. After starting the season with a win, they suffered seven consecutive league and cup defeats. However, they have turned their form around and have won their last three matches.
Their most recent outing was last Saturday when they visited Chessington and Hook United and won five-two. Sam Bayford put Halls ahead on the half hour mark but they conceded an equaliser in first half stoppage time. Bayford restored their lead immediately after the break but the hosts levelled again eight minutes later.
When Sam Doyle put Halls ahead for the third time, there was no looking back and late goals by Gergo Petrovics and Kenny Dadds rounded off the afternoon.
Meanwhile Lydd were hosting high flying SE Dons. Lydd went behind in just the sixth minute when Joedon Gugas-Cowin netted. Billy Crook then scored a second half brace for the Dons before Harry Byrne converted from the spot to give the hosts a consolation goal with seven minutes remaining.
They are one place behind Halls on the same points having played one game more. Their form hasn’t been great since winning two of their first three matches of the season. They have only won one point out of their last twelve and haven’t won a league or cup game since August.
Whoever wins could end the weekend as high as eleventh place, depending on other results on Saturday.
