Battling forward Brad Gutridge has secured a full time roster spot with the Invicta Dynamos for the remainder of the campaign.

That comes after impressing Head Coach Kevin Parrish in his five appearances whilst stepping up from the Mustangs in 2014/15.

Brad Gutridge has so far plied his trade in the NIHL South Division 2 with the Invicta Mustangs having first pulled on the jersey of the second tier outfit back in the 2009/10 season.

His unquestionable work ethic and determination saw him become a key figure for the side and caught the attention of Invicta Dynamos Head Coach Kevin Parrish who called him up for first division action when he was in need of extra skaters at the start of the campaign.

However, far from making up the numbers, Gutridge made the most of his top tier outings with several energetic performances and has now secured a full time roster spot for the remainder of 2014/15.

Speaking to Kent Sports News on the move to make Brad Gutridge a full member of his roster Head Coach Kevin Parrish said, “Brad is going to step up with us full time now from the Invicta Mustangs.”

“He still has a few things to work on and he knows that himself but you’ve got to consider that he’s only been playing for a few years so he’s doing very well.”

“One thing Brad has in his favour is that his knowledge of the game and positional sense is outstanding considering his short time in the sport and he’s a bit like a sponge at the moment – learning quickly every week and doing exactly what I ask of him”.

Parrish then addressed another side to Gutridge’s game when he said, “One thing a lot of people don’t know about Brad yet is that he can stand on his own two feet and will throw some punches if needed.”

“If he has to scrap then Brad won’t back down from anyone. He’s a local lad, loves being a part of the Dynamos and will do what it takes to help this team win”.

Brad Gutridge will wear number 46 for the Mos and will be back in action for the side during an English Challenge Cup double header weekend that begins with the team travelling to Bracknell looking to repeat their giant killing of the Bees.

On Sunday they then return home to face the high flying Guildford Flames with faceoff at the Silver Blades Gillingham at the usual time of 5.15pm.
