Gillingham will be looking to get back to winning ways when they make the trip to Grimsby Town in League Two tonight.

Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Tranmere Rovers was the first point gained under new manager John Coleman, but Gills fans came away disappointed their side failed to win, but also with the manner of the performance.
Gillingham seemed to run out of steam at the weekend and the fans that travel this evening will be hoping to see more effort from their side.
Coleman may be tempted to change his starting line up and will be hoping loan signing Asher Agbinone is available after missing the weekend with a back injury.
On loan Chelsea striker Jimmy-Jay Morgan started on Saturday, but was subjected to a tough time and came off with a cut to his foot, although Gillingham are hoping he will be fit to start again tonight.
Bradley Dack was probably Gillingham’s best player on Saturday, but back to back games may be an issue and Coleman will have to think whether it’s a good idea to play his talented midfielder again.
New signing Nelson Khumbeni is set to keep his place in the starting line up having come into the side at the expense of Ethan Coleman. His fitness levels clearly need to improve and manager John Coleman will be hoping more game time will bring the former Bolton Wanderers midfielder up to speed.
At the back, Gillingham have looked reasonably tight, without being solid and assured, but it’s up top where Gillingham have struggled.
Saturday’s goal came courtesy of an own goal and Gillingham last found the net themselves back on December 20th – over a month ago!
That needs to change and fast if Gillingham want to avoid being pulled ever closer to the relegation zone. Thoughts at the start of the season of securing at least a play-off place are fading fast and The Gills will go into tonight’s game sitting 17th in the league, eight places behind their hosts.
If ever there was a game that Gillingham needed to win for a variety of reasons, tonight is just that game.
