Graham exceeds 2020 karting expectations

After a truncated season racing in the British Karting Championship, Aylesford’s Joshua Graham excelled by securing the number 4 plate in the hugely competitive Honda Cadet class.

The final round of a Coronavirus affected 2020 season, was held at the Midlands Whilton Mill circuit, near Daventry.

With the unavoidable lockdowns affecting the calendar the championship organisers managed to squeeze in a final weekend’s racing before year’s end, over the weekend of 18-20th December.

Joshua managed to finish 2nd in the Grand Final driving his Ambition Motorsport run kart, after a thrilling race where he made up 8 positions, earning himself a bumper haul of points to cement fourth overall in the series.

There ended a successful season for the 11 year old, who also picked up the top rookie trophy from every one of the four weekends involved in the 2020 championship, this to go along with his outright victory at Warden Law, which Kent Sports News reported on earlier last year.

Joshua and his family are currently planning ahead for the 2021 karting season and are keen to hear from any local businesses who would like to be involved in sponsoring Joshua’s 2021 racing campaign.
