Gillingham have completed the signing of Jordan Graham on a permanent deal.

The 25-year-old becomes the Gills’ fifth summer signing following the arrivals of Ryan Jackson, Vadaine Oliver, Jacob Mellis and Zech Medley, and Gills boss Steve Evans claimed he has beaten a number of other teams to the winger’s signature.

He told the club website: “Jordan was one of our key targets. The lad and his father in particular have spoken at length with numerous clubs.

“They have listened intently, spoken freely and made an informed decision that we are his clear choice.

“I spent hours with Jordan at the weekend and it felt great to receive his call that he wanted to join us – the hard work paid off!

“There will be a number of high-profile managers in League One who will be disappointed, but I have no interest in them at all.

“The lad has spent a couple of weeks with those high-profile Formula One drivers in France, but it is now time for Jordan to get motoring on his own. He looks in awesome shape.”

Graham featured seven times for Gillingham last season and put in some impressive performances out on the right flank.

He is comfortable on either wing or through the middle, and will add pace, skill, and directness to Gillingham’s attack.

He went through the youth academy at Aston Villa before joining Wolves, and made numerous loan spells during his time at Molineux.

After years of frustrating injuries and loan spells, Graham can now settle and kick on as a player; that’s Gillingham’s benefit.

Graham himself tweeted: “I am back baby! Loved my time here last season and cannot wait to be part of a BIG season for us!

“The love you showed me here last season was clearly not forgotten – now let us go to work!”
