Leaders Holcombe scored six goals as they beat Brooklands Manchester University 6-0 in the Men’s Hockey League Premier Division on Saturday.

The goals coming from Sam Ward, Gareth Andrew, Rob Field, Aaronvir Cheema, Iain Lewers and Jonty Robinson.

Two goals in four minutes from Tom Bean helped Canterbury battle to a 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Loughborough Students.

In the battle between two teams without any points, it was Loughborough who took the lead with Ed Horler scoring on 42 minutes.

But Bean found the goal on 58 and 62 minutes to give Canterbury the points.

Sevenoaks stay second in the Men’s Conference East after a 1-1 draw at third-placed Richmond, George Torry scoring their second half goal after John Harris had given Richmond the lead on 21 minutes.
