Gillingham have clinched the permanent signing of Ethan Coleman from Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been recalled from his loan spell at Bromley in order to complete the move.

Coleman, 22, has played 23 times in the National League this season for the Ravens having begun his career in the academy at Reading.

He moved to Brackley Town in July 2020 and, following a spell with King’s Lynn Town, he joined Leyton Orient in January last year for an undisclosed fee and scored once in 15 appearances prior to joining Bromley on loan in August.

Coleman played the full ninety minutes as Bromley beat Yeovil Town at Hayes Lane on Saturday and has been brought to The Gills to add more competition for places at Priestfield.

Following the signing of Jayden Clarke from Dulwich Hamlet earlier in the day, Coleman becomes the seventh permanent signing under new owner Brad Galinson as the transformation of the squad at Gillingham continues at pace.

Both Coleman and Clarke are expected to be part of the squad that travels to Colchester United on Saturday afternoon as Gillingham look to climb off the bottom of League Two.
