Gills game falls to the weather

Gillingham’s League One clash against Rotherham United at Priestfield has been postponed due to the heavy snow.

Club officials took the view that more snow was forecast on Thursday and Friday meaning there was little chance to get Saturday’s game on.

Steve Lovell’s side will have to wait to see when they will face the Millers with the rearranged date yet to be made.

Gillingham have been on a recent good run at home and were expecting a decent crowd for the weekend, but player, fans and the safety of all has to be paramount.

The whole schedule for football in Kent is set to be decimated by the heavy snow across the county.
