Gillingham this afternoon announced the signing of left-back Lenny Cirino on a short term deal.

Cirino has been on trial with the Gills during pre-season, and he has done enough in training and the games he has played to impressive Gareth Ainsworth and be offered a deal.

The 22-year-old came through the academy at Ewood Park but was released in the summer of 2024. He joined Clitheroe last September.

He has made four appearances for the Montserrat national team, making his international debut in June 2024 in a World Cup qualifier.

Lenni is available for selection ahead of Saturday’s League 2 curtain raiser against Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium.
